The Monterey Trail Mustangs defeat the Elk Grove Thundering Herd to advance to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship with a 27-23 victory on Friday night. The Mustangs will face the Thundering Herd next Saturday at 6pm at Sac City College.
