The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section is proud to announce $26,350 in scholarships will be awarded to the 49 winners of the A. Dale Lacky/CSEA Scholarships.
Andre Crump received the A. Dale Lacky/CSEA Scholarships for his outstanding athletic performance, community service and academic success during the four years of high school.
Andre played basketball for four years and football for one year – his senior year. In basketball, he was named all-league twice and set school records for most points in a game, most 3-pointers in a game and most assists in a season. In football, he was the team’s Offensive Player of the Year, an all-league selection and Sacramento Bee all- Metro team member. He’s won the Gear-Up Trust Award and the National Football Foundation Academic Award. He volunteers for Loaves and Fishes, Stacie’s Daycare, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, at a local community center and with Feed the Hungry. Andre has a 4.0 GPA and will attend San Jose State University where he will continue playing football while majoring in business administration. He hopes to work in the front office of an athletic organization.
