As a new team, the Monterey Trail Mustang football program faced early challenges and losses, but through relentless hard work and determination, they laid the foundation for a strong and competitive team.

The Varsity Era

In the 2024 season, the Mustangs showcased their hard work and talent, dominating the field and earning the title of Delta League Champions.

Established in 2007, the mission of the Monterey Trail Mustang Football Program is to provide a structured environment that fosters emotional stability and personal growth. By maintaining continuity, we aim to ensure the success of our student-athletes, helping them excel both on and off the field. Through active participation, we emphasize academic values, fundamental skills, and life lessons that will serve our players throughout their lives. Our program is dedicated to supporting the development of future college students, offering a safe and positive space where they can thrive.

Evolution of the game

Over time, the Monterey Trail Mustangs developed a faster, more disciplined, and strategically dynamic style of play, reflecting the growth of both the team and the game itself.
